Happy Holidays! We hope everyone is enjoying these past few months and has been able to stay safe and healthy as they spend time with loved ones. As the year winds to an end and we begin to plan for the start of a new year, we can’t help but take a second to reflect on the accomplishments, happenings, and outcomes of 2022. Like any year, this year has had its ups and downs, but there is a lot to be proud of and grateful for as we think about the past 12 months. Here at 100K Ideas, we have had a lot of great moments, events and accomplishments, as we continued on our mission of helping our community, supporting local innovators, and building up ideas. Some of these include:
- We held three of our first ever fundraising events this year! Starting with the Hot Questions Challenge in April, moving to our first ever Annual Fundraiser in May, and ending with our Mystery Box Auction in August, we are happy with the support we received. We are ecstatic with all the funds we were able to earn that will go back to our clients, student staff, and community programming. We are excited to continue holding events like this in 2023.
- We had a great year in the service we have been able to provide, helping work with more than 200 ideas in 2022! We are thrilled to have been able to provide support on these ideas and provide the work to help the innovators and entrepreneurs behind them.
- We have had a lot of great acknowledgements this year, as well! From winning a silver ADDY award, to our Executive Director being selected for Flint’s 40 under 40, we are grateful for all the appreciation for our organization, it’s team, and the work we do.
- We’ve added a lot of great additions to our team. From our new Client Service Associate, to a large handful of student staff, we are lucky to have a strong workforce that has worked hard to help push our mission and help out clients. Thank you to all our staff, past and present, for all that you do!
- Last thing we can’t forget to reflect on, is the continued support from you all. Whether it was a donation, attending an event, stopping by our space, sitting down with our team, or just saying hi, we are so lucky to have a strong community around us, encouraging and helping us support our local entrepreneurs. Thank you all!
Now that we have reflected on our year, we encourage all of you to take some time and reflect on all the positives and accomplishments, no matter the size. We are proud of the individuals and community that we continue to work, support, and grow with. Thanks for all the continued support and we wish you the best 2023!
