As you approach Chrysa Studio, the assortment of colors, different fabrics and stylish mannequins will catch your eye. Chrysa Curran-Cronley has known since she was a young child she wanted to make clothes. She found her passion as a child, creating custom clothes for her Barbie Dolls. This passion has now manifested into a career Chrysa cherishes, designing custom clothes for men and women.
Chrysa opened her Downtown Flint studio six years ago and garners a lot of business from regular downtown foot traffic. Her custom designs range from dresses to men’s shirts, in which she likes to incorporate bright colors and unique patterns. Out of the designs Chrysa creates, her favorite are formal wear, wedding dresses, and party costumes.
Since opening, she has built a connection to the community and has even been awarded Favorite Dressmaker by My City Magazine. In the near future, Chrysa is planning to offer sewing classes to the community. These classes will allow her to further connect with the people of Flint.
